No, this is not a freeway, it’s the shared footpath path in Camperdown Rest Memorial Park. The line markings have just appeared, making it an official cycle route. As you can see from the photo, pedestrians are not keeping left unless overtaking.

Footpaths in Krakow are generally either crooked, have broken stones, are made of slippery cobble and carry plenty of dog poo. I generally dislike them. Cars take up most of the space on them, curbs are too high for prams and bikes to manoeuvre comfortably on and wheelchairs are never seen [...]

Footpaths. Some roads only have one running down them (how annoying is that?!), some are mossy, some house junk waiting to be given a new more appreciative home, some have bird mosaics on them….
